Zhongguohong Zunyi Nelumbo nucifera     Another brilliant red lotus in the Chinese City Series by Master Ding Yueshueng, Red Zunyi, has rounded petals around a golden receptacle and dark, lush green leaves. Zunyi produces a more compact plant and is ideally suited for growing in slightly smaller spaces than the others in the Red City Series other than Shanghai, a medium-sized lotus. Red seed pods can be removed and used in dried flower arrangements to add a pop of color for a few weeks (they will eventually turn brown).
