We know you all enjoy visiting with us and wandering about Golden Pond, a place we feel is our little botanical garden and not your traditional nursery. So, think of this online shop as a way to be at the nursery without actually physically being there. Large Versicolor Nelumbo nucifera   Purple!VERY UNUSUAL! HUGE creamy white flowers (10"-14") with a jagged purple picotee along the petals' outer edge. The inner petals are tipped with green. Even the bud carries a splash of purple, making this one of our favorite large lotus. If you are lucky, you might get one of these rare flowers with a big purple stripe! Flower Color: Versicolor Plant Height: Tall, 48” and taller Flower Type: Multi-petal, more than 50 petals Pot Size: 20” and wider, 12”-18” deep Large lotus varieties need large pots! This large lotus variety needs a pot at least 20” or wider and 12” or more in-depth. Be sure to fill the pot at least half full of soil to help offer support and stability for the leaves. Deeper soil allows them to withstand strong winds and keeps the heavy flowers and buds from falling.

  • The entrance gate will be open during our business hours. However, visitors MUST schedule an appointment to enter the nursery. While we have some flexibility to schedule a same day appointment, our COVID protocol only permits two individual groups at any one time.
